Without politics. How to permanently transform street protests with a mobile application?
The last N thousand years of protest meetings have not fundamentally changed.
A crowd of protesters gathers and starts chanting something, usually with short rhythmic phrases (the crowd is not capable of more). Starts starts, the crowd picks up and rushes until inertia goes out or until the leader starts a new chant. It turns out pretty loud, but indistinct. Casual passers-by are not even always able to understand what exactly these people want? Well, yes, "Hitler is a thief," and if more specifically?
The 20th century gave the demonstrators sound reinforcement equipment. And primitive chants began to alternate with incendiary speeches by speakers. Cool? Cool! The effect of such a collection is incomparably greater.
But there are two problems. AmpMe , which synchronously plays music on multiple smartphones.
As an alternative, you can try to synchronize over the audio /video /*** signal from a home computer that is synchronized with the NTP server.
Synchronization should not depend on the time /belt at the base station of the cellular operator.
Synchronization, apparently, should be held shortly before the rally, so that time did not have time to significantly shift due to the error of the clock.
In very large areas, the expected echo, "the effect of the station." Anything is better than the roar of the crowd.
What can a hover application do?
The sound is reproduced strictly by the timer as an uneditable playlist, file by file.
Before playing any chants, the phone displays the countdown and the text of the slogan.
During playback, karaoke subtitles are displayed for live chants.
The owner of the phone has the right to make mute those "chants", which he does not want to reproduce. Freedom implies some non-mandatory.
Two sure ways to bury the idea of
Write slogans in the voice of one person. The voice of the people should sound exactly like the voice of the people, with an even chorus, xx + yy of male /female voices. The sound engineers will understand.
Make an application for a single platform. Need at least iOS + Android.
Interesting? And let's do it!
The task does not look big - it seems like a task for the "hakaton".
Need a team of developers with their hands. If you are interested, write to me, join us.
Someone is cool enough and curious to overcome the task of synchronizing audio playback within 50ms on different smartphones. This is the main challenge. AmpMe provides 10ms, but you do not need that much for crying.
Someone with a sense of beauty to paint a simple and pleasant UI. The list of elements I will give.
A far-sighted and meticulous programmer who will think through the format of the files for playback.
2+ harsh programmer who will create applications for iOS and Android, respectively, and teach them to play these files on a timer and without delay.
Producer /organizer in my face. About myself: I'm a senior backend developer of Ruby /RoR, damn.

PPS: lyrical digression: I respect very much all collective wills within the framework of the law. Everyone has the right to be heard. And the less people have the opportunity to realize this right, the more they have reasons for primitive methods, like going out. In an ideal world, for broadcasting opinions it should be enough to sign a petition on change.org or similar sites.
I look forward to your comments with interest. And yes, please leave your opinion in the survey.

Do you think the idea of a crying application is viable?
Yes, it will work
No (I see insuperable technical obstacles)
No (I see obstacles when using the application)
