The owner is an elderly man.
This is the second car in the family - for trips around the city. In maintenance does not need and does not break - the car is reliable, as in fact it's just an improved Golf, and this model has passed a very long test of time and constantly improved. In addition, the family still has an SUV hybrid (I did not remember the model) with very low fuel consumption. Recuperation greatly increases mileage, but the wife prefers to turn it off. The brake pedal can not be used. The mileage is comparable to the Hyundai Ioniq.

All My Comments

Externally it looks like an ordinary car - does not attract attention, but it does not repel. The salon is simply excellent. Good materials, comfortable seats, logical and understandable controls. In a word - a conservative German.
With "inclusion" there were some problems. Those. it was necessary to press the Start button, while the car "woke up", but, for some reason, not always rode. It was necessary to push something else (the brake pedal?). I did everything, seemingly just as the owner said, but the car went only at the third attempt - something is wrong with either the logic of e-Golf or mine.
Goes in general is very good. Not bad keeps the road and does not slip on a sharp acceleration, despite the wet asphalt. There is some reserve in power. Noise of the motor is not audible and in general, it can be said that the noise insulation is good. Smooth running. Feelings are very similar to Hyundai Ioniq (once I did its test drive and was even going to buy it).
It is very convenient to change the regimes of recuperation - the lever of switching "speeds". In the "D" position, you can swing it to the left or right and choose one of the three modes, or simply pull it further back, which automatically turns on the strongest mode - it works as a kind of brake.
In addition, the button can choose one of the three driving modes - from the most energy-saving, to "sporty."
Total. A small, inexpensive, nice, comfortable car with a very modest mileage between charges.

The owner's story

The owner is a middle-aged man.
Wanted to buy Kia Kona Electric or Tesla Model 3 with a standard battery, but did not wait and decided to buy this Nissan. Very convenient mode of "one pedal" - the brake pedal can not be used even on a large slope (the car does not roll down the hill after a stop). He did not like the recovery mode at first, but then got used to it. This is an expensive kit, which even has an assistant driving (active cruise control and hold in the lane). There is not only a rear-view camera, but an all-round view. There is no need to charge it only to 80-90% and do not discharge less than 10-20% (as Tesla owner does), since this "buffer" is already laid by the manufacturer (ie it can not really be charged 100% or discharge below a certain minimum). Of the drawbacks - lack of charging USB (or at least a cigarette lighter) for the rear row of seats and a very bad (buggy) application for the phone.

All My Comments

If the previous generation of Nissan Leaf is ridiculous, but at the same time original, then the body design is simply ridiculous. What could be worse? It can be worse than his salon. He is nightmarish. Very poor materials. Everywhere only hard and cheap plastic. In my photos, this is not visible, and even, perhaps, it seems that it is the same as the e-Golf or even better (if you look at the steering wheel). But this is a mistake. It is much worse not only than the e-Golf, but, perhaps, worse than any other car I drove at the wheel in the last 15 years.
Controls are scattered around the cabin as horrible - pay attention to the button for heating the rear seats, located on the side of the passenger! "Puck" - the mode switching lever is senseless, unnecessarily complex, of course, very cheap and uncomfortable. Parking mode, for some reason it is turned on by the button on top of this "washer", and the Drive mode by moving left and down. The dashboard is such that you do not want to look at it.
Rides well. Relatively smooth running. Just like the e-Golf does not stall at the start. Accelerates slowly. The motor is not audible, but the noise insulation is poor. Plus, I'm sure that after a while the salon will begin to creak and "grunt".
Total. A small, inexpensive, a car with a small mileage and a very bad cabin, which you do not want to return to. I have a suspicion that he was deliberately done so badly that they did not buy and did not have to meet the increased demand. I see no other reason why it is so bad both outside and inside.

The owner is a girl.
Fell in love with Tesla at first sight and long begged her husband to buy. They are not rich at all, but they really wanted to. "I fought with my husband for more than an hour" convincing him. Just loves this car. Comes to these annual events to show it to everyone and once again experience this feeling when a person sees the Model 3 for the first time. The brake pedal almost does not use. Charges about, once a week. Their account for electricity increased by $ 15 a month, and before they spent on refueling a couple hundred. Cars are rarely changed - they traveled the past for 10 years, they want to travel even more, if possible. Does not break. You do not need to service. I asked about how the key works (Model 3 itself opens when you approach the car, with Bluetooth on the phone turned on). She has an iPhone, the Tesla application, she never turns off and there are no problems, and her Android husband has problems (turns off the application). Automatic "rain sensor" (in fact, there is a camera used), she does not use - she does not like how it works. But the autopilot uses actively (they did not buy it, and now it works in the mode of familiarization). I asked not to use the mechanical buttons when opening the doors, because there are electrical buttons.

Outwardly beautiful. In general, I already wrote about him . Inside - even better. Excellent, premium materials are everywhere - very expensive and high-quality soft plastic (the only place where the rigid is the steering column), the leather (more precisely, kozh.zam - in fact, now many people use not real leather - they regret animals), veneer. The seats did not like it - there was no ventilation and the back was sweating again (as in Model X). Glass roof. Doors open on the button - it's very convenient, but all strangers need to explain how to do it correctly.
Goes well. On the one hand very "tenacious" on the road, on the other hand it goes gently (I expected it to be much tougher). Lightning fast - even when driving about 40 km per hour after pressing the pedal "gas" instantly accelerates and strongly squeezes into the armchair. Good noise insulation (approximately, like in e-Golf). Very strong recovery. It is configured through the menu and has only a couple of positions, which is not convenient - it would not be bad to be able to customize it with a separate button. From the side of the front suspension, when driving on irregularities, an almost imperceptible knock was heard. It's not quite clear - it's a native sound or a malfunction.
Total. Very beautiful, premium, extremely fast car with a very large power reserve.


Subjectively, I would say that the e-Golf is a great, city car. Leaf is as bad as good Model 3.
Tesla - out of competition and in general from some other, unattainable at the moment neither the Germans nor the Japanese league. When you go to Model ? you get the impression that you somehow moved for a couple of decades ahead and now you are where all other automakers will not be soon.
