The structure of the online store consists of two parts:
SEO structure: categories, products, information pages, producers, articles;
Technical (functional) structure of the site.
My name is Alexander Antipov and this article is for those who is going to create an online store from scratch or to remodel their current site . We will analyze these 2 components in detail, as a basis for creating a convenient, SEO friendly and selling online store.
1. SEO structure of the store's website. Scheme of categories and goods
The development of any IT project begins with a technical assignment (TOR). But in the case of an online store,
to put the right task to the developer, you need to know what will be the structure of the SEO pages of the online store, based on what the functional of the site will be thought through.
Usually there are 5 main types of SEO pages in the store:

1. Product categories
These are sections of the site where the buyer can quickly go to the type of goods of interest.

The SEO structure of the pages of this type does not require preliminary elaboration, as it was with the categories above, but it is important to indicate in the terms of reference that there should not be duplicate links in an online store (usually only for products).
This is because the product can be simultaneously assigned to different categories, so it will be available through several links.

3. Information pages

This is a page with a list and description of the manufacturers of goods. Used if the store has more than one manufacturer.
