Docker for Symfony 4 - from local to production

Docker for Symfony 4 - from local to production

Prehistory

One fine day, I needed to deploy the development environment for my project. Vagrant is already fed up and wanted to have a single development environment for all project participants that would be identical to the production server. Accordingly, having listened to the information about the hipster docker, I decided to start to understand it. Next, I'll try to describe in as much detail as possible all the steps from installing the docker on the local machine until the product is deployed on the KVM.

Step-by-Step Creating a Bundle for Symfony 4

Step-by-Step Creating a Bundle for Symfony 4About a year ago, our company set a course for the separation of a huge monolith on Magento 1 for microservices. As a basis, only the Symfony 4 released was released. During this time I developed several projects on this framework, but I found it particularly interesting to develop bundles, re-used components for Symfony. Under the step, a step-by-step guide to developing the HealthCheck Bundle to obtain the status /health of the micro service under Syfmony 4.? in which I tried to touch on the most interesting and complex (for me at one time) moments.

The experience of the Rambler Group: how we started to fully control the formation and behavior of front-line React components

The experience of the Rambler Group: how we started to fully control the formation and behavior of front-line React components

There are a lot of ways to create a modern web application, but before each team there is inevitably the same set of questions: how to allocate front and back duties, how to minimize the appearance of duplicate logic - for example, when validating data, what libraries to use, how to provide reliable and transparent transport between the front and back and document the code.

In our opinion, we managed to implement a good example of a balanced in complexity and profit solution, which we successfully use in production based on Symfony and React. For details of ...

Shopkeeper 4.0 - Online store on Symfony + Angular + MongoDB

Shopkeeper 4.0 - Online store on Symfony + Angular + MongoDB

History

A little background. The first version of Shopkeeper was released in 2009. Then it was a module for CMS MODX , or rather for its first branch, which is now called Evolution. At that time MODX had only one such module, but its quality did not suit me, so I decided to write my own. Plus, I needed some kind of project to increase my experience in programming in PHP. Because there was almost no competition, my component became the most popular for that version of MODX.

DevConf: from Shawarm to Symfony or legacy migration

Under the curtain of last year's DevConf, Artem Degtyar and Pavel Stepanets described how they migrated the ERP system written on the "bare" PHP5.3 running on Windows in Symfony + PHP? and built on it a cloud-based service in the field of b2b. The video is available on reference report . And I will present a textual, slightly compressed version.

Matthias Noback About the Ideal Architecture - Layers, Ports and Adapters (Part 3 - Ports and Adapters)

Matthias Noback (author 3r3r3? A year with Symfony
) Published a series of three articles describing his views on the ideal architecture of enterprise applications that has evolved over many years of practice. The first part is introductory and does not represent a particular interest (available in original ). Translation of the second is for . And since he caused a TEMPTING excitement (as many as two people have discussed with me in the comments), it would not be a crime to transfer the third one.

In the previous article, we discussed a reasonable system of layering the project, consisting ...
